Coming from the West
From I-78 Eastbound take exit 49B (about 1 mile after route 24 joins I-78), which puts you onto Springfield Avenue heading east. Take the jug-handle turn (sign says "All Turns From Right Lane") onto Valley Street. Once on Valley, proceed to the 4th traffic light (Baker Street) and turn left. Pass under the railroad bridge, and turn right onto Maplewood Avenue. Proceed three short blocks through downtown Maplewood to Durand Road. The Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts is at the intersection of Durand Road and Maplewood Avenue, facing Durand.
From South Orange Ave. Eastbound
Turn right onto Wyoming Avenue. Proceed about 1 mile to Durand Road and turn left. Continue down hill for two blocks. The Burgdorff is on your right just before you reach Maplewood Avenue.
GSP Coming from the North
Take the Garden State Parkway south to I-78 west. From there, follow the directions, "Coming from the East."
Coming from the East
From I-78 Westbound take exit 50B (about one mile past the Garden State Parkway interchange). Turn right at the top of the ramp onto Vauxhall Road. Proceed to Valley Street (third traffic light) and turn right. Proceed to Baker Street (third traffic light) and turn left. Pass under the railroad bridge, and turn right onto Maplewood Avenue. Proceed three short blocks through downtown Maplewood to Durand Road. The Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts is at the intersection of Durand Road and Maplewood Avenue, facing Durand.
By Public Transportation
Maplewood is easily reached from Penn Station in New York, from Hoboken, or from points west on the Morris-Essex line of New Jersey Transit. The Maplewood Village side of the Maplewood stop is at the bottom of Durand Road, less than 100 yards from the Burgdorff.
Parking
Parking can sometimes be difficult to find on a busy night in Maplewood, so plan ahead. There is parking available at the Maplewood train station, in several public lots in Maplewood Village, and on the streets near the Burgdorff.
